HOW WILL THEY LEARN ALL THIS MATERIAL?

• PROJECT BASED LEARNING is a method of learning that is centered around essential questions. It encourages inquiry in the learning process. In other words, students are not just given information, they discover and learn for themselves.

• Students will learn strategies for reading non-fiction texts.
• Study Skills will be taught and gradually the support will be scaffolded out for the following areas:  vocabulary building strategies, note taking, graphic organizers, time management.

Students can expect to be ASSESSED in the following ways:  

• Independent Classwork  (Exit slips and Notebook activities)
• Quizzes/Projects (Independent & mostly done during school hours)
• Tests 
• Group project activities
