Saint Teresa of Calcutta Home & School Association
Here are some guidelines for our association. We truly believe that we
need to approach each activity/event as a team. Officers act as Committee
Chairs and will represent their committee at the Executive Board Meeting.
2020-2021 Home & School Board Association
President
•Ultimate liaison between the H & S and the Principal of the School
•Conducts and chairs at all meetings, unless otherwise specified in
the bylaws;
•Prepares all meeting notices and agendas for distribution at
association meetings;*
•Assists the association in moving forward with the decision-making
process through the use of consensus building and parliamentary
procedures;
•Coordinates the work of the Board officers and committees of the
association;
•Meets regularly with the other Board officers to plan agendas for
association meetings, consultation and information sharing;
•Encourages parent involvement and sets the tone for maximum member
participation;appoints chairpersons of committees (ways and means,
hospitality, etc.);
Vice President
Act as aide to the president
•Perform the duties of the president in the absence or inability of
that officer to serve
•Perform other duties as may be assigned by the association
Treasurer
•Keeps records of all income received
•Keeps records of all expenses the provides a Treasurer’s report at each
meeting;
•Co-signs all checks;
•Assists with the June transfer of financial records
Recording Secretary
•Records decisions, financial activity, reports and abbreviated
discussion at all association meetings (minutes);
Corresponding Secretary
•Reads and provides access to relevant correspondence to
association members;
•Prepares responses to all incoming correspondence;*
•Maintains an accurate file of all incoming and outgoing
correspondence;
Purpose of our Home & School Association
To coordinate parent involvement in the overall educational experience of
their children. To create family oriented activities which, when
successful, provide funds to enable fun programs, equipment, assist with
providing financial support for educational programs,
or necessary items for the school.
Home & School Board Members meet each month.
