Please make sure your child is studying their math facts. Knowing their math facts will strengthen their skills and help them understand all the new concepts they will be learning.
We will have timed drills once a week. Your child will have 5 minutes to complete 50 multiplication facts. We will begin with multiplication and move onto division. By the end of the year, your student should have multiplication facts up to 12 mastered and memorized. In order to move through each fact family, your child has to master an 85% or higher. If unable to pass within two tries, he/she will receive extra practice worksheets to help master their facts.
