Welcome to 4th Grade! My name is Kate Dudas and I love teaching at St. Teresa of Calcutta! I graduated from Bentley College with a degree in Economics/Finance. In addition I completed a post-baccalaureate certificate program for Elementary Education through Westfield State College, where I earned a teaching certificate from the State of Massachusetts. I previously taught 5th grade as a Catholic educator in Connecticut at St. Bridget School. As a committed lifelong learner, I continue to discover new and exciting teaching strategies, best practices, and innovative ways to inspire learning through many professional development opportunities.
I have been married to my husband Paul for 18 years and my two sons, Michael (16) and Stephen (14), are my everything. We keep busy with travel soccer, band, orchestra, boyscouts, and spending time with extended family that live in New Jersey and Massachusetts.
In my spare time, I enjoy reading, cooking, baking, exercising, and traveling. I have traveled to Hungary, Austria, Italy, and many states across the United States; most recently Montana. I love experiencing new places and learning all about the foods, culture, and history everywhere I travel. I also LOVE the beach! We have spent a week in Nagshead, NC with family for 9 years. It is always a highlight of our summers.
I am excited to welcome back my new 4th grade students and teach them in a Catholic environment, sharing with the children how to live prayerful lives and grow closer to Jesus all the while becoming independent lifelong learners. I strongly believe in building a joyful, engaging classroom and school community where the emphasis is on helping students develop their academic, social and emotional skills in a safe learning environment that is developmentally appropriate to their strengths and needs.
I feel honored and blessed to be teaching 4th grade at St. Teresa of Calcutta School!
